Arts in the Park Begins This Saturday
Arts in the Park, offered by The Woodlands Township Parks and Recreation Department, brings together local entertainers and local artists and their wares. Arts in the Park will be held on Saturdays September 11, 18 and 25 from 6 to 8 pm at Rob Fleming Park in the Village of Creekside Park. In addition to a variety of performances, there will also be art for sale, including woodwork, pottery, paintings, crafts and jewelry.
This free event includes face painting for the children. The fall Arts in the Park entertainment schedule includes: Adam & Lena, September 11; Trio Grande, September 18; and CYT (Christian Youth Theater), September 25.
United Way Tail Gate Chili Cook Off This Saturday

The Montgomery County United Way is hosting a Tail Gate Chili Cook Off on Saturday, September 11 from 4:00 – 6:30 pm at Central Park in Market Street. Admission is $5.00.
Taste test chili from Montgomery County United Way Pacesetter companies— Americas Styrenics, CB&I, Chevron Phillips Chemical, Montgomery County Hospital District, Memorial Hermann Hospital, The Woodlands Development Company, Winstead and Montgomery County United Way staff —as they compete for Judge’s Choice and People’s Choice awards.
The event is sponsored by CB&I and Market Street.
The IAAP Presents Bonnie House Speaking on the Topic, “Grace Under Pressure”

Bonnie House, CPS/CAP, Treasurer of the Texas-Louisiana Division of IAAP, will speak on the topic of “Grace Under Pressure – Maintaining Your Cool When Things Get Really Hot” at the International Association of Administrative Professionals®— Woodlands Area Chapter (IAAP) chapter meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 16 at Homewood Suites by Hilton in the Windsor/Warrick rooms with networking beginning at 5:30 pm. The charge for attending the program with dinner is $25. Attending the program only is $5.

A Weekend of Music at The Pavilion, an Entertaining Success
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion ended a four-day run of live music this weekend with performances by the Houston Symphony, Clay Walker, Creed and John Mayer. The Pavilion is an outdoor amphitheater located in Town Center which provides an array of performing arts and contemporary entertainment.
